About

Some of my earliest memories include animals. As a young girl I gravitated towards every kind of living creature, and eventually my brother and I convinced our parents that we needed a dog. Maggie the chocolate lab was my first experience with training a dog!

Throughout my childhood and through the end of graduate school I spent every available moment in the barn around horses. I was also lucky enough in my professional marketing career to find my way into roles that allowed her to continue working on the health and well being of animals.

My love for training animals, mainly horses and dogs, has forever been at the core of how I interact with them. I have always sought to be proactive in training, teaching the behaviors I'd like instead of waiting for behaviors I don't. That's the case with all the dogs that come through our home.

What can you teach your dog to do?

You are mostly limited by your imagination!

Throughout my years training horses, I also immersed in learning dogs through reading, watching videos, and especially working with trainers in person. I've learned from courses and classes in obedience and behavior, as well as from the dogs that we've fostered (around 30 or so since 2016) and our own dogs.

Helping families live more successfully with their pets is my driving passion. There's nothing better than a client sharing a new accomplishment that they never thought possible with their dog.

In my personal life, my hobby is still dogs! Our little family includes three dogs, a German Shepherd named Finn, a Belgian Malinois name Mason and our recent rescue Malinois, Ammy.

Finn has several AKC Trick Dog titles, her CGC-A/U and together we competed regularly through the Masters level in barnhunt and trained in NASCW nosework.

Mason has several Trick Dog titles, has hunted through the Masters level in Barnhunt and trains weekly in his main sport, French Ring. The discipline and creativity in training required for French Ring has taught me so much about how to better serve my pet dog clients.

Ammy also has her CGC-A/U titles, a Trick dog title and lately has shown an interest in dock diving and frisbee. As long as there is something to chase, Ammy is happy!
