About

Some of my earliest memories include animals. Throughout my childhood and through the end of graduate school I spent every available moment in the barn around horses or with my Chocolate Lab Maggie. I was also lucky enough in my professional marketing career to find my way into roles that allowed her to continue working on the health and well being of animals.

My love for training animals, mainly horses and dogs, has forever been at the core of how I interact with them. I have always sought to be proactive in training, while prioritizing the dog's mental well being and access to genetic fulfillment.

Throughout my years training horses, I also immersed in learning dogs through working my own in a variety of sports with a number of coaches, and through fostering.

Ongoing education has always been a priority for me. I have spent several years learning from Alicia Scholet of Fulton Strong K9, who's extensive experience gives her unique perspective on training cases.

I achieved certification through Training Without Conflict®, a system of dog training developed by 2x World IGP Champion Ivan Balabanov that focuses on training dogs through biological/genetic fulfillment (play), and the understanding and application of demonstrable and observable behavioral sciences. TWC Certified Dog Trainers have a deep understanding of ethology, neuroscience and behaviorism and possess the skills to apply this knowledge to help even the most difficult cases.

Additionally I've completed Cameron Ford's Detection Dog Trainer School, and plan to continue that education through Ford K9 in the coming years.

Helping families live successfully with their dogs is my driving passion. There's nothing better than a client sharing a new accomplishment that they never thought possible with their dog.

In my personal life, my hobby is still dogs! Our little family includes four dogs, a German Shepherd named Finn, and three Belgian Malinois, Mason, Ammy and Esme. Our world revolves around our dogs in many ways and they've been wonderful teachers over the years!
